About this course

This course provides a complete introduction to the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of domestic heat pump systems. Beginning with the core principles and operating fundamentals of heat pump technology, learners are guided through system design, installation methods, commissioning procedures, and the industry standards that underpin safe and efficient operation.

Throughout the programme, students gain both theoretical insight and practical understanding of how modern heat pump systems function within domestic settings. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge required to confidently work with domestic heat pump technology in line with current industry best practice.

Entry Requirements

The only entry criteria we ask for is that you have an interest in Sustainable Construction.

To qualify for GRASP funding, applicants must meet the following criteria;

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Applicants must live in Northern Ireland or one of the bordering counties.
