GRASP is helping shape the future of construction training by championing the development of new cross-border Green Skills apprenticeship pathways. Working in partnership across eight Further Education and Training institutions in Northern Ireland and Ireland, the programme brings together curriculum experts, industry partners and awarding bodies to create a shared model of apprenticeship training that reflects the real needs of the modern construction sector. 

This includes a pathways framework that maps and compares existing qualifications in both jurisdictions and illustrates how they can evolve into a single, jointly accredited Green Skills apprenticeship award, ensuring learners can progress seamlessly across the border. By promoting apprenticeship opportunities and collaborating with industry to address skills shortages, GRASP supports a stronger, more mobile, and future-ready workforce equipped for low-carbon construction and retrofit demands.
