Our Team

Siobhan Ferguson is the Programme Development and Delivery Manager for the cross‑border, PEACEPLUS‑funded GRASP programme, leading the coordination of Training, Curriculum Development and Partner Engagement across the project. 

She brings a strong technical background in sustainable construction, holding a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Construction and Engineering Management and a Foundation Degree in Building Services and Renewable Energy, along with specialist qualifications in Passive House consultancy. 

Prior to joining GRASP, Siobhan worked as a Technical Consultant in Sustainable Construction supporting industry in adopting Sustainable Construction standards. She is passionate about advancing green skills, innovation, and high‑quality curriculum design to support a just transition across the region.

I am the Performance and Organisational Support Manager for the GRASP Programme at South West College, supporting the delivery of initiatives that promote sustainability and inclusion within the construction sector.

I have a background in Net Zero Engineering, Green Technology, and Environmental Engineering, and have developed a strong interest in sustainable technologies and the transition to a low-carbon economy. My professional experience spans teaching, energy management, consultancy, and manufacturing engineering, giving me a broad perspective on both industry and education.

My journey with South West College began in 2012 when I enrolled on a Foundation Degree in Engineering with specialisms in Wind Turbine Technology. This experience sparked my passion for renewable energy and sustainability, and since then I have continued to build my knowledge and experience in this field.

In my role as Programme Development Officer I am responsible for managing participant recruitment for GRASP courses and activities across the South West College regional area. I am based in South West College Omagh and work in collaboration with my colleague Anne McCaughey. 

I enjoy having an input to the achievement of GRASP targets and bringing valuable, funded skills opportunities to our local construction industry work force to enable individuals to achieve their full potential. I have taken the lead on the delivery of our Green Skills School's Outreach Programme and greatly valued the opportunity to attend various school settings and engage with aspiring and innovative pupils. 

I also enjoy collaborating with the wider GRASP team and having an input to the co-design of GRASP developments, and I look forward to continuing on the journey of this exciting programme. 

As Programme Development Officer within the GRASP Programme, I lead on participant engagement and recruitment for GRASP courses across Northern Ireland and the border counties, in collaboration with my colleague Denise Hyndman and supported through SEUPB funding.

I am passionate about advancing Passive House principles, Carbon Literacy, and Net Zero ambitions within the construction sector. I take great satisfaction in contributing to the achievement of GRASP targets and in helping bring valuable, funded green skills opportunities to our local construction workforce - empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Recently, my work has included advancing the development of the Industrial Advisory Board and designing a Householders Training Module, which will soon to be offered to owners of High Performance Homes as well as prospective retrofitters.

I am Imelda McCauley, and I have been the Finance Officer for the GRASP Programme since May 2025. I have worked in South West College for nearly ten years, taking on a variety of roles that have helped me really understand and appreciate the college community. 

In my current post, I enjoy supporting the GRASP team and helping ensure the programme runs smoothly and successfully.

Laura is the GRASP Administrative Officer at South West College, based in the Omagh and Enniskillen campuses. She help keep the programme running smoothly by helping with reporting, compliance, documentation, and communication across our partner network. She will often the first point of contact for enquiries, and supports senior management with meetings, planning, and project updates. Her role is to simplify processes and make sure everyone has the information they need.

After graduating with a BSc in Business Studies with Computing from Ulster University, Laura worked as an Identity & Access Management Analyst and Quality Lead, collaborating with global teams across Argentina, India, and the Middle East. Before that, she worked as an Talent Assistant in a software engineering company, working closely on intern and graduate programmes.

Colm Richardson is the Assistant Training Centre Manager with Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service, where he supports the delivery of high-quality training opportunities and the strategic development of innovative training initiatives across the county. 

With a background in Electronic Engineering and Computing and extensive experience in multinational industry, Colm has spent over a decade training and mentoring apprentice electricians through FÁS, SOLAS, and Donegal ETB. He now manages apprenticeship programmes and oversees the operational running of Donegal ETB's Letterkenny Training Centre.

Colm is passionate about sustainable training practices and preparing the workforce for a greener, more environmentally conscious future. His work aligns skills development with the region’s transition to a net-zero economy, ensuring that training provision supports emerging industry needs.

He is strongly committed to employment focused training and enjoys collaborating with regional and cross-border partners, such as through the GRASP initiative to strengthen skills development, innovation, and lifelong learning throughout the North West.

Treasa McGinley is the Collaborative Project Coordinator with Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service.

She is an experienced education professional with extensive expertise in Further Education and Training. She holds a Degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Enhanced Learning, bringing a strong blend of learner‑centred practice, digital innovation, and collaborative working to her roles.

Treasa began her career as a Literacy and Youthreach Tutor, where she developed a deep understanding of inclusive education, learner engagement, and the diverse needs of adult and young learners. Building on this foundation, she progressed into the role of Technology Enhanced Learning Coordinator, supporting staff and learners through the effective integration of digital tools, blended learning approaches, and innovative teaching practices across the organisation.

In September 2025, Treasa moved into the role of Collaborative Projects Coordinator, where she is responsible for coordinating and liaising with key partners across a range of SEUPB‑funded projects involving Donegal ETB. She particularly enjoys the collaborative and strategic nature of this role and is actively involved in supporting project delivery, partnership engagement, and cross‑border cooperation, most notably through her work on the GRASP Project.

Una McGuinness is Finance Administrator on the GRASP Project, she brings a diverse international background and extensive administrative expertise to her role within Donegal ETB’s Finance function. 

After earning her degree in Media and Theatre Studies from the University of Ulster, she spent several years in retail management in Scotland. This experience paved the way for a transition to the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), where she was part of the Global Examinations Team.

During this time, she managed a portfolio of European-based examination centres. She travelled across Europe and the Caribbean, conducting high-level audits of international examination centres.

Since returning to Ireland, Una has focused her talents on project management and educational administration. She joined Donegal ETB in 2019, initially serving as the Project Support Administrator for the PEACE IV programme. Following a successful tenure as a Finance Administrator within the ETB, she recently moved into her current role supporting the finance function on the GRASP PEACE+ programme.

JJ has extensive expertise in construction, manufacturing, funding & project management, having successfully led a construction business in the U.S. and in Ireland over the last three decades.

Dave has over 20 years industry experience in marketing working in client marketing and advertising agencies with a master’s degree in marketing. 

He is also an experienced BER assessor/ technical assessor and has worked in a number of construction roles and also as a project manager for a retrofit company.

Naoimh McGovern is a Project Development Manager at Southern Regional College, supporting the delivery of collaborative initiatives that strengthen skills development, innovation, and cross-border partnership.

Through her work on the GRASP programme, Naoimh helps connect education, Industry, and community partners to create impactful opportunities for learners and businesses across the region.

Sinead oversees the strategic and operational management of CMETB’s Training Services.

She is committed to developing high quality training programmes and fostering strong pathways that support learner progression and industry engagement.

John is a Subject Matter Expert in renewable energy, bringing extensive industry knowledge to the design and delivery of CMETB’s traineeships.

He supports learners in developing the technical and practical skills required for emerging roles within the renewable sector.

Emma coordinates CMETB’s involvement in the GRASP project, providing administrative oversight and ensuring effective project delivery.

She supports key processes, maintains documentation, and contributes to a structured and streamlined learner experience.

Marc is passionate about driving industry change and bridging the gap between academic research and commercial application. He has a proven track record of embedding innovation and change management into organisations through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) and Innovation Boost Projects. Marc holds a BSc, MSc, and PgCert in Architecture, and is currently advancing his strategic expertise as a part-time PhD researcher focusing on Change Management and Knowledge Transfer.

Frank Scott is a Lecturer in Green Skills and Retrofitting, supporting the development of practical knowledge and workforce capability for low-carbon construction and sustainable building practices. He works with learners and industry partners to promote retrofit solutions that improve energy efficiency and support the transition to more sustainable built environments. His teaching focuses on equipping students with the skills needed for the evolving green economy.

Francine Moran is Principal Lecturer in Sustainability and Social Responsibility at North West Regional College (NWRC), a core delivery partner in the GRASP Green Accelerator Skills Programme for the construction sector. She provides strategic management for NWRC’s contribution to GRASP, guiding the development of green skills pathways that support the region’s transition to low-carbon, sustainable construction. With over 22 years’ experience in environmental education and vocational training, and a background as a Lecturer in Science, she specialises in sustainability integration, carbon literacy, and stakeholder-led change across education, industry, and community settings.
