This Level 3 Award provides a comprehensive foundation in the rapidly growing sector of green energy, designed to equip learners with the knowledge to confidently advise clients and homeowners. The curriculum covers the fundamental working principles, regulatory requirements, and installation options for a wide range of micro-renewable and water conservation technologies. You will study key systems including solar thermal and photovoltaic (PV), ground and air source heat pumps, biomass, micro-wind, and rainwater harvesting. By the end of the course, you will understand the advantages, disadvantages, and building feasibility requirements for these sustainable technologies.
There are no formal qualifications required to enrol in this course. It is open to all candidates aged 16 and over.
To qualify for GRASP funding, applicants must meet the following criteria;
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Applicants must live in Northern Ireland or one of the bordering counties.
Develop practical project management expertise in planning, leadership, risk management, and successful project delivery.
